Located on Qawra’s waterfront, AX Seashells Resort is a four-star, all-inclusive hotel, featuring 452 highly refined rooms, many with sea views. Since first opening in 1986 and throughout the years, AX Seashells Resort at Suncrest has upheld AX’s high standards of hospitality. When it launched, it was the largest and only resort of its kind in Malta – a significant milestone in the country’s hospitality and tourism industry.
The hotel was then extensively refurbished by AX Group in 2015. The large-scale €7m project breathed new life into the resort. All rooms were completely renovated, designed to delight contemporary lifestyles and finished to the highest quality.
Today, the resort’s spacious appeal invites visitors to relax and have fun in a sophisticated setting. Besides its unobstructed sea views, the hotel offers guests its Carisma Spa and Wellness International Centre, a large outdoor swimming pool and lido, and seven different food and beverage outlets, such as the popular Luzzu Restaurant and Cheeky Monkey Gastropub.
Further development is set to take place at AX Seashells Resort at Suncrest as AX Group has secured a full development permit to extend the resort by adding four floors to the existing structure. The development will increase the number of rooms to 618 and create new facilities, such as additional pools, restaurants and bars. As part of the redevelopment, AX Group is keeping in line with its objective to develop its consolidated Qawra properties into a key destination on the island.
